Signs of Glory: Celebrating the Epiphany

The celebrations of Christmas and Epiphany announce a reality which is perceived by faith alone: the beginning of the action which will bring humankind back to God. The commemoration of Christ’s appearance to the Magi, the Baptism of Christ with its trinitarian Theophany, the miracle of Cana – the “sign of his glory” – all of these fix our gaze on the heavenly birth through which we are to find him again in the actuality of him “who was, and who is, and who is to come.”

In this class we will seek to experience our participation in the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Blocks, bolsters, and other supports will be useful as we practice a series of heart-opening postures (cf. Ephesians 1:18). Some extensive pranayama will help us to enter into the heart.
